Please Note: A detailed itinerary based on the below will be available in the TuluApp, which you'll receive access to before your trip. Since this is a self-guided tour, you have the flexibility to either follow it fully, or to fill your days with your personal preferences, making it truly your own adventure.
Day 0
Depending on the country you're flying from, you probably have to book your flights for at least one day before your date of arrival. If your tour date is set for August 3, for example, your departure date may be August 2. Kindly check your date of arrival before booking your flights.
Days 1 - 6
Upon arrival at your hotel, drop off your luggage if you arrive early and get ready to soak in Tokyo’s energy. The adventure begins in Japan’s dazzling capital — where ancient temples meet neon skylines. Visit Tokyo Camii, the city’s largest mosque with breathtaking architecture. Feel the buzz of Shibuya Crossing, dive into Harajuku’s playful fashion scene, and wander through the timeless charm of Asakusa’s Senso-ji Temple. End your day in Ginza, where luxury shopping and fine dining meet modern elegance.
Take a refreshing day trip to Kamakura to meet the Great Buddha, explore tranquil temples, and enjoy ocean views. You’ll also have a free day to explore at your own pace — whether chasing hidden cafes, visiting Fujikawaguchiko for a glimpse of Mt. Fuji, or simply strolling through quiet gardens. The TuluApp will be your local friend, filled with handpicked suggestions to make every moment unforgettable.
Day 6 - 9
Experience the thrill of Japan's Shinkansen, the high-speed bullet train that glides effortlessly through stunning landscapes from Tokyo to the cultural heart of Kyoto. Marvel at Kinkaku-ji's golden beauty, stroll through Arashiyama's whispering bamboo groves, and wander beneath Fushimi Inari Taisha's vibrant red torii gates. Enjoy a serene green tea ceremony dressed in an elegant kimono before stepping into the timeless charm of Gion and the quaint streets of Higashiyama.
Day 9 - 11
Hop once again onto the Shinkansen, whisking you from Kyoto to Hiroshima. Explore the poignant Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site symbolizing peace and resilience. Stroll through the serene Shukkeien Garden, a living masterpiece of Japanese landscaping. Love castles? Then a visit to Hiroshima Castle (surrounded by moats and cherry trees in spring) is a must. Finally, set out for Miyajima Island, home to the iconic "floating" torii gate and the breathtaking Itsukushima Shrine.
Day 11 - 14
End your journey in Osaka by exploring the historic Osaka Castle, a symbol of Japan's feudal past. Dive into the vibrant energy of Dotonbori, famous for its neon lights, street food, and lively atmosphere. For your departure, both Kansai International Airport and Itami Airport are convenient options. Detailed instructions for both will be provided to ensure a smooth farewell from Japan’s dynamic heart.
Day 14-15
Depending on the departure time of your flight and country you will fly back to, you may arrive on the same day or a day after your tour date.
