Tulu Tours – our story.

As-salamu aleykum and konnichiwa – happy to have you here!

The why behind our story is quite simple: we wish to have
Muslim travellers fully enjoy Japan without having to compensate their deen.

We have been around in Japan for a while, and while even we find it challenging at times to travel around Japan,
Muslims travellers unfamiliar with Japan will have even great difficulties getting around. The Japanese government is working towards accommodating Muslims visitors by building prayer rooms and encouraging local restaurants to go inclusive,
but there’s still a long way to go. No worries, you won’t have to give up your dream trip to the land of the rising sun
– we’ve got you!

At Tulu Tours, combined with our knowledge of halal travel and Japan tourism, we are connected with
local keypersons and professionals, so that we can offer elevated experiences for Muslims eager to discover Japan.
Not only do we care about having Muslims enjoy Japan in the most Islam-compliant way possible,
we aim to have you build travel memories worth cherishing over and over again.

We are Esma Esra and Enes Muhammet –
the duo behind Tulu Tours.

Travelling to a country where the presence of Muslims is extremely low provides barriers to many Muslims looking to explore unique cultures. Whether it’s finding halal Japanese cuisine, local activities or prayers, we believe being Muslim is in no way a reason to no visit Japan.

Starting off as a challenge, we explored rather exciting prayer spots, and to connect with locals to create halal (culinary) experiences for those wishing to enjoy Japan – the halal way.

Esma Esra has been involved in Japan’s tourism industry before founding Tulu Tours. Throughout the years she has developed a strong wish to contribute to a halal tourism landscape in Japan. She’s particularly passionate about Muslimah travel, so that Muslim women can explore Japan without having to bring friends. Guaranteed you’ll make like-minded friends for life – explore our Omakase tours page for current spots!

We also accommodate all-boys travel and larger groups – both for leisure and business, which is where her husband, Enes Muhammet, joins to strengthen the team.
