October 2022: Halal Japan Travel is back

Confirmed: Japan’s back in the game -visa-free independent travel to Japan resumes on October 1, 2022!

We love good news, and today we woke up to Japan’s Prime Minister Kishida’s announcement on travel to Japan. After more than two long years with strict border control for tourists to Japan, Japan is finally re-opening! Japan will allow visa-free, independent tourism and abolish the daily arrival cap as of October 2022. What does this mean? No need to stick fully to a travel agency (although Tulu Tours loves to join your adventure!), and tourists can explore Muslim-friendly Japan again. The bowls of hot ramen, freshly packaged konbini (convenience store) onigiri, and the most stunning views are awaiting you!

So what’s the catch this time? Nothing – you’ll only have to either be vaccinated three times or simply submit a negative COVID-19 test result ahead of your trip. And what’s more? The Japanese Government will launch an exciting nationwide domestic travel program, which offers attractive discounts for travel, theme parks, events and more. Furthermore, with this program future travellers be eligible for an ‘up to 11,000 Japanese Yen’ accommodation assistance per night stay. As soon as we have more info – we’ll let you know.
